A busy manufacturer of retail display equipment needed to speed-up the spot welding of top-hat stiffeners to the underside of supermarket shelves.
Following evaluation 4 x GS30 Series Welding machines were purchased to be mounted in a row to make 8 spot welds in quick succession. The machine controls are interlinked so that all heads decend together but the controls are set so that the machines 'fire' at different times. 8 spot welds are achieved in less than one second.
